Rivial was founded in 1973 in Sorbolo a Levante, Brescello (Reggio Emilia).
The owner Viappiani Iames embraked on this activity as turner after a previous experience in one important local company.
At the beginning Rivial produced only few fittings and some oil lubricators and the owner Viappiani Iames was running the company with his father and brother’s help who had a higly valued experience in the mechanical industry.
When Rivial was founded there was a limited equipment: the factory only had two automatic lathes and some manual drills, but the business soon increased and Iames Viappiani realized that new machines and highly motivated people could make the difference in such a rapid growing market. He bought more advanced machines and hired two additional people.
Actually Rivial has 20 single spindle-turning machines, among them 15 are NC, and several machines inteded for the precision machining of bars, chuck work and shaft type workpieces made with metalic or plastic materials.
